Grrr scratch on new wood burner
Afternoon folks We had a Flavel Arundel wood burner installed last week and it looks great. I noticed a scratch on the top of the door which being brand new has really irritated me! :( The finish of the stove is Matt black. I stupidly used a small smear of car polish on the scratch which has made that patch slightly shiny…

There is a timer on the wall with water only and water & heating. The heating seems to…

Pay as you Go customer
More than likely this offer by British Gas doesn't include pay as you go metered customers who have been discriminated against all along and have had to pay more for their gas and pay for it straight away, not fair to say the least, we are on the like it or lump it tariff but no one is listening Martin!

Also Does anyone have some reliable data or links for…

Heating Incentive - Seen on FaceBook
Hi, I'm in the market for a new boiler and my partner has just shown me a facebook post/page which shows MSE as the icon but the link goes to heating incentive . com. I'm dubious so could someone please clarify if there is government funding to replace your new boiler or whether this is as dodgy as it first appears. Thanks

Iam looking to move from Scottish power as my fixed deal is ending soon . According to my bills, i spent £1283 on gas and electricity over the last 12 months and this is with careful use. EDF prepayment problems
Hello all! My eldest Son has just been given a council flat and the energy suppliers have historically been EDF. Hardwood v Softwood
This is my second winter with a wood burning stove and it’s time to restock Hardwood is proving difficult to source. The supply I got last year was air dried and pretty uneven to say the least I have a source of kiln dried softwood at what seems a decent price for my area. While accepting that hardwood will burn longer, if…

System to Combi - Flue Questions
Hi all. I've asked this in ukplumbersforum as well but thought I'd give it a bash here, too. :) My plumber is taking out a broken Worcester Greenstar system boiler in a boiler cupboard and replacing it with a Baxi Duo-tec 28 combi. I'd like to have the new boiler in the same place but he's said the horizontal flue/labour…

How much do you pay for your logs?
I've tried several suppliers around me and the only one with always good quality seasoned hard wood is 140 for 1.5 M3. I guess it's not too expensive for a months heating and hot water, but in other parts of the country I was able to pickup about 1m for 35 a few years ago

Sudden spike in outstanding amount - what are my rights?
Hello experts, I'm hoping you can help me. We are Flow Energy customers, and have been since we moved to our house in July 2015. They set our direct debit at £39 per month after asking me about usage, which always seemed a little low, but we were keeping on top of usage according to our statements. Suddenly, the statements…
