Hey good people!
I need your help, I have a Stratford multi fuel burner that heats our water and central heating and I despise it!!! I have totally had enough of chopping wood and buying coal and long for a dial on the wall to provide me with heat as and when I need it! I fantasise about those that can turn on their heating with their mobile phone!!
We have radiators already but as I say they only get warm when we have the multi fuel burner on, there is a switch on the wall that once the fire has heated the hot water it bubbles so we switch it over and then it starts to heat the radiators. Is anyone familiar with this set up and could give me any ideas on how I could convert to a normal heating system...we have gas but its capped.

I think (and please correct me if I've got this wrong) that you have what's known as a boiler stove - people normally get these where mains gas isn't available. If mains gas is available, you'll need a gas boiler, linked up to the mains, and to your radiators. You can then keep the stove as an extra source of heat.
What you'll need is a quote from a reputable heating engineer to decommission your heat pump attached the stove, and install a gas boiler that's attached to your radiators. You'll also have to pay your local gas company for a new connection to the house, and they can give you an estimate.
My main reservation, apart from the cost, would be that this isn't the best time of year to be doing this! Can you hold on till spring?0
