Replacing a Myson UFH actuator head.

Hi there,
We have one zone of our UFH not getting warm despite its thermostat calling for heat. Its actuator head on the UFH manifold is closed all the time. All the other zones are OK. I don't know what's wrong but it could be the actuator head, or a jammed pin beneath it?
I've read that if I take off the actuator head the valve may open, or I may be able to get to the pin to move it. Is it safe to just take off the actuator head and see? And how do I do that? The Myson head has a small tab on it, to enable it to be snapped on. But how do I get it off again?
Thanks for your time.
