controllable heating!

Hi,
i live in a 2 bed semi, only have electricity and have storage heaters fitted, however they are over 30yrs old and most of them have stopped working now. I have temporarily replaced some with Dimplex Eco radiators until i can find a electric heating system that is both energy efficient and that i can control remotely, i.e; via WiFi/Bluetooth. I have a smart home automation system in place via amazon echos, tp-link plugs and Phillips hue bulbs, so would ideally like to link the heating somehow?
There are so many different options out there but not sure which is best? I also dont have lots of money coming in as im disabled and not working. This is another reason why it helps for me to have remote control of my heaters/radiators.
I know that storage heaters are probably my best option, but the new models which include timer/stat and wifi, cost a fortune!
Any help and advise greatly received!
Thanks! Jules.:)

If I were you, I would go on Youtube and look at some videos on repairing your storage heaters. They are a doddle, and most parts are available.
I'd forget about wifi IIWY. If you are unable to reach heating controls, why not get a simple radio control system to switch on/off your top up heating.0 -
All electric heating is energy efficient - 100% of the energy put in comes out as heat. So it matters not whether you pay £20. £200 or even £2000 for a heater they will all use exactly the same amount of energy to produce the same amount of heat.
The reason that storgage heaters are cheaper to run than other sorts of electric heating is because they can store the energy as heat and so use cheaper off-peak electricity to charge them up and then they release it during the day when electricity is most expensive.
Heaters that use peak rate electricity will cost 2-3 times as much to run as storage heaters.
You might just as well fit TP-link remote sockets to your existing Dimplex heaters as they will the cost the same to run as any other electric heater.
Please be wary of any electric heater that purports to be eco, efficient, or is filled with magic dust, oils or other substances - they all use exactly the same amount of energy to heat the same space to the same temperature.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
