Consolidating vs keeping separate S&S ISAs (above 100k)
Its been a few years now since I started to more seriously utilize my ISA limits where I would use different providers in different years. The change that we can use different ISAs in the same FY was also pretty handy, allowing me to contribute the annual 20k allowance as I please. My current providers:Vanguard for…

Deadline for replacing flexible ISA funds by cheque
If I want to replace funds withdrawn from a flexible ISA by cheque, in a branch, what is the deadline for doing so? I understand that if I pay in on the 5th April, chqeues won't clear until later the next week (in the new tax year), but do they count towards replacing the previous tax year's flexible allowance?

Grandparent wanting to save for grandchildren
Hi. I have been saving for my two grandchildren (aged 4 and 7) since their respective births. They're in Halifax Kids' Savers accounts. I understand a Junior ISA would be better value and that would also be kept until they're 18, whereas the savings account will give them access at 16. However I can't rely on (one of) the…

My 2 children aged 19 and 21 want to start investing in a stocks and share type of ISA. They are looking at long term investing. They have both opened accounts with Trading 212. Shawbrook Cash ISAs - multi-year option allowing allowance?
Is it the case, and indeed is it still the case, that with Shawbrook's range of cash ISAs beyond the 1 year fixed term, one can still can new funds every tax year? Usually with fixed term ISAs, you can only add funds with a certain window of time, but I'm sure I read here that Shawbrook allows you to add in every year?

Can I open a new fixed rate cash isa with a transfer from a maturing fixed rate cash isa, without making a deposit during the funding window? Pay into LISA with a credit card?
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a new credit card and I was just wondering if I can get this: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/best-credit-card-rewards/#topcards (the £165 worth of points) and utilise the £3000 limit by paying into a LISA, then paying it off into full next month? That's the only way I can see…

ISA anniversary date / interest payment
I opened an ISA with the Nationwide back in Feb last year, I put in 20K straight away and then in April I added another 20K so it is maxed out. From reading up the Nationwide pay the interest on the anniversary date of which the ISA was opened which would then take it over the limit for the year, is this allowed or will it…

I have an ISA currently with IWeb that is over the 85k protection limit, I'm considering moving to a lower fee provider for trades as I do tend to make a few changes now and then and with IWeb its £5 each time and I like to make changes. It seems many people are using these other providers ok, I just wondered if anyone…

I have some foreign shares in my ISA. What happens to them when I die? Are they treated in the same way as UK shares in the ISA, or do I need to make special provision for them?

AJ Bell vs. Dodl investing in a LISA
Hi, I was looking into alternative LISA providers and I came across Dodl, which is part of AJ Bell. I had a look at the fees and although on paper it seems dodl is cheaper, this is only true up to a point as the fee struture is a big weird. For AJ bell the fee is 0.25% annually (capped at £3.50/month), whereas for AJ Bell…

ISA allowance question
Hi, I made a mistake by manually withdrawing £20,000 from my cash ISA into a current account prior to paying it into a new cash ISA that I opened with another provider. I now realise I’ve used up this year’s allowance and will make sure I do transfers in future! However, the original ISA I withdrew from was opened in the…
