Hargreaves Lansdown - Funding LISA from Fund & Share account?
I'd like some help moving money into a HL LISA from the HL Fund & Share account I created please. I've set up a HL account for my son and then opened up a LISA, and at the time of doing so I funded it with £100 to get it going whilst I awaited cashing in some Premium Bonds to top it up to the £4k maximum. I then created a…

Cash ISA transfer from Chip to Moneybox
My nephew asked for my help in setting up his first S&S ISA so that he could invest half his cash ISA savings in an S&S ISA. He is currently with Chip who don’t allow partial transfers so I suggested that he transfer all of his Chip cash ISA to a Moneybox cash ISA that has a better rate anyway and then do another transfer…

LISA addition before end of tax year
Hello all, I'm looking for some opinions about maximising the benefit of my lifetime ISA before the end of the current tax year. I have a good amount of money in a normal savings account at the moment, around 5 months worth of income, and I also have around £2000 in my LISA. I'm wanting to put some more money into the LISA…

ISA Renewal Date Query
In 2023-24 I took out a new 1 Year Fixed ISA on 2nd April 2024 which I renewed on 3rd April 2025. I expected to be able to renew on 3rd April 2026 but notice that renewal date has slipped to 8th April which is in Tax year 2026-27 because of the Easter Bank Holidays. Will this affect my 2026-27 ISA allowance as I was hoping…

New ISA
Hi, I currently have a maxed out ISA for 2025/2026. Could I withdraw the funds and start a new ISA for this year and pay it in and then it's still classed as having one ISA this tax year? Or can you not do that? Thanks

Cash ISA close withdraw then setup new ISA to get boosted rate
So I have my first Cash ISA with CHIP that I took out last year. I am currently getting 4.48% boosted rate which expires on 31st May this year on the full allowance. I don't think I can afford to put any new money into a cash ISA next year. I have opened a trading 212 cash isa with the minimum deposit amount of £1 as it…

A bit worried after enquiring about possibly transferring my maturing fixcash ISA to a new Provider.
I telephoned to make a provisional enquiry for when my present Fixed Cash ISA matures at the beginning of April in this tax year. The interest rate after maturity would be low and I wondered about transferring to a new, better interest, provider - as suggested in these forums. The bank adviser scared me by saying that,…

How long for funds transferred to be received in an ISA
I recently arranged a transfer of a Trading 212 Cash ISA to a Hargreaves Lansdown Stocks and Shares ISA. Trading sent me an email last Friday (13th March) at 09:53 to say the transfer was complete. Checking the Trading ISA showed that the balance was nil. Same for the HL one. However, I've just checked again now and the…

Opening then Closing an ISA account
Hi, I've opened an ISA account but not funded it as I was going to transfer an ISA into it from the current tax year but have changed my mind Does this effect anything in terms of using an allowance provided I haven't put funds into it? I received a subscription certificate from Tesco Bank so I'm concerned I should now use…

Paying HL ISA fees
I periodically top up my HL account with a few £ to cover the fees on my stocks & shares ISA, the money sits separately from the ISA and fees are paid from this. However I’ve noticed that any amount I top up with comes off that years ISA allowance. Is there a way to fund the fees without it affecting my allowance please?

Cynergy ISA maturing soon. Best option for delay free transfer out?
Maturing ISAs with Cynergy are automatically re-invested in another fixed rate ISA if I do not contact them with instructions. Cynergy’s online options are - 1. Renew into a 1 Year ISA. 2. Renew into a 2 Year ISA. 3. Transfer and close. They have also sent a letter which describes the options as 1. Renew to a choice of…
