Advice re Parcelforce
Wondered if anyone out there can adivise? I bought a piece of art from Germany and was advised by the seller that it would be delivered by Parcelforce. They advised me to check the item when it was delivered and to refuse to accept it if was damaged thus making it simpler to sort out replacement. The parcel arrived today…

£1640 in three months!
I just calculated that since February this year I've paid off approximately £1640 in debt. :D About £500 of that came from reclaimed bank charges, but the rest came from simply spending less than I earn! The big difference for me has been that I take out a fixed amount of spending money in cash at the start of each week,…

Better mine than theirs!
Thanks to Martin I approached the Abbey bank and asked them for some (all?) of the money they charged me for repaying my mortgage recently. Quick as a flash I got £130 by return of post, unfortunately my own money! I read on this site somewhere about broadband costs and sent an E-mail to Orange asking, literally, would…

Hi all Not sure on individual amounts, but total monthly savings amount to just under £100 (£1000 a year!!!) it's like having a payrise for doing nothing, next task is to batten down my mobile charges. A newbie just wanting to say thanks for saving us so much money! Staggered to find, after following your instructions, that we'd been paying too much Council Tax all this time. We have had a very happy outcome and it's scary to think we could have been overpaying for years to come! Now I shall been looking for other tips…

So easy - £3200! Thank you so much
I followed directions regarding rateable value and rate banding. It took just six weeks and was dropped down a band - backdated to 1993! £2400 refund to us and £800 to the previous owner. Moral - if you don't ask, you don't get. Thanks Martin.

This site has changed our lives
On the first day I found MSE I got all my paper work out. Within the first week I had reduced the rates on both our credit cards, won a £10 voucher on Pigsback (which I had actually been a member of for years, but never knew how to use!) Realised I was owed £20 my my Mutual points - again I site I had been a member of for…

Holidays
Well, thanks to the guys and gals on the free easyjethotels thread, so far this year, i've booked/stayed mainly free at hotels for 17 nights b&b (4*) and have saved approximately £2000. I can't imagine it will be topped and, now that they've changed the ts&cs, I doubt it'll be added to much by Stelios! :D…
