£1640 in three months!

I just calculated that since February this year I've paid off approximately £1640 in debt. :D

About £500 of that came from reclaimed bank charges, but the rest came from simply spending less than I earn! The big difference for me has been that I take out a fixed amount of spending money in cash at the start of each week, and I don't use debit (or credit) cards if I can help it. When I paid for things with card, even though I tried to stick to a budget, I just couldn't keep track of it.

I still have a long way to go, but am pretty impressed with myself today!

Well done you. You should very be proud of yourself.

Only wish my friend could do the same thing. She says she has no money yet whenever I visit her I always spot something new. Unfortunately the new thing is always something she could do without !
