Did my first Iceland online order of the year and discovered that the minimum order has gone up from £25 to £35. I don't know whether this also applies to shopping delivered after trips to the store though. https://www.iceland.co.uk

Crystallised ginger
Was in ASDA today and purchased 200g bags of crystallised ginger for £1. The brand is 'Natural Selection' (which I have previously bought in Aldi) 200g would set me back £2.50 in Mr S. It is really moist and warm - will be using it to make my own plain chocolate cover gingers.

Home Bargains - what do you think ?
Visited Home Bargains for first time on Friday. Not what I expected from the website https://www.homebargains.co.uk as more of a store than a warehouse. Seemed to me almost no fresh food at all, besides eggs, bread and potatoes. Though there's a lot of packet stuff eg cereals and cereal bars, not so many tins/jars. Bought…

Sainsburys Xmas Delivery - anyone else had problems?
Well mine turned up tonight. Booked the slot as soon as it was available and had everything confirmed quite a few days ago. How can they run out of potatoes and sprouts at christmas? ALL the fruit and bread (longer life, bake in the over) they delivered is out of date in 3 hours time. Virtually everything else was either…

M&S Food used by dates this Christmas
I'm sorry if this comes across as a really daft question, but if anyone has been looking at Christmas food in M&S the last day or two, can you tell me if the 'used by dates' are covering Christmas Day yet? It is a long story but basically my food shopping for Christmas at M&S this year will include a 20 mile round trip (on…
