Check out the cost of the component parts - you'll find that it's actually pretty expensive, even with the 'free' add-on.

It would be at the full price, but seems a good deal at £39. Does anyone know what the quality is like, and if you can freeze the meat?
  • All the info about the provenance of the meat is too woolly for me. There's no mention of free range, organic etc. so I assume it's not. "We do our very best to ensure that all of our products are bred and reared on farms where Animal Welfare is paramount" isn't enough for me. Basically my point is that if it was free range, high welfare or organic meat then it's a good deal; but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Cleverly presented though, to make you feel as though you're getting something special! THat said, if anyone has experience of the company or knows more about what exactly their 'commitment to quality' means, I'm very happy to be wrong about my assumptions!

    Thanks anyway OP!

I can't comment on where the meat comes from, but having had 3 deliveries from this company (including a large Christmas meat hamper) I have been very happy with the quality of the meat, which, as it's fresh, can be frozen.

Delivery is made in well insulated cardboard boxes, with ice packs, and the boxes are fab to re-use for picnics! The courier was happy to leave my deliveries in my pre-assigned "safe-place" (my garage), without me having to sign and therefore be in all day.

    It's a thumbs up from me :D

Cannot comment about the quality , but I wouldnt order anything based on what they claim to be the full price or the saving. This company is continually offering deals and money off , and this particular offer seems to come round every couple of months

It's £4.95 for delivery in addition to the £39.

Anybody who thinks that selection is worth 97 quid needs their head seeing to.

I fail to see why people order these 'deals'

The last time Westin Gourmet offered this deal I went into my local independent butchers and priced everything up and it was £6 cheaper from my butcher. Not only that but I knew where everything had come from and all my butchers meat is free range and fully traceable.
