Online Shopping - Rubbish?
So I sign up and take a look around the online shopping area of Asda today. One of the first things on my list was Lasagne sheets, smart price of course! I search and search but no joy. Yet I visit the supermarket and there they are on the shelf. Does Asda make you buy more expensive products? Does this happen with other…

Be aware of "Favourites" when using Asda online
Hi all First proper post so hope this is in the right place and sorry for the long post I do my bulk shop with Asda online as its very convenient with not having a car ( also the 10% price match thing means I rarely pay delivery) I have been doing using Asda for many years and have noticed more recently how items you have…

Rapeseed Oil.
I recently started cooking with Carotina which is a mix of Rapeseed Oil and RedPalm Oil available in most supermarkets. I went to open my third bottle today and found that it had white solid matter around the neck (enough to prevent any oil pouring out). Bottle was well in date so I wondered if this was a common problem…

Thought I would use the recent £5 off £40 spend voucher to get main Christmas food shop.O.K. the frozen turkey crown seemed reasonable but the 2 things we have tried so far were dissapointing .The bacon I bought just crumbled in your hand as I tried to remove a slice,we also got some beef quarterpounders that my wife could…

Crystallised ginger
Was in ASDA today and purchased 200g bags of crystallised ginger for £1. The brand is 'Natural Selection' (which I have previously bought in Aldi) 200g would set me back £2.50 in Mr S. It is really moist and warm - will be using it to make my own plain chocolate cover gingers.

Home Bargains - what do you think ?
Visited Home Bargains for first time on Friday. Not what I expected from the website https://www.homebargains.co.uk as more of a store than a warehouse. Seemed to me almost no fresh food at all, besides eggs, bread and potatoes. Though there's a lot of packet stuff eg cereals and cereal bars, not so many tins/jars. Bought…

Sainsburys Xmas Delivery - anyone else had problems?
Well mine turned up tonight. Booked the slot as soon as it was available and had everything confirmed quite a few days ago. How can they run out of potatoes and sprouts at christmas? ALL the fruit and bread (longer life, bake in the over) they delivered is out of date in 3 hours time. Virtually everything else was either…
