Cheap plonk
Could we please have a thread listing all the cheap plonk at the different supermarkets? I like wine, but my palate (or my pocket) does not appreciate the expensive wine. I am more than happy to quaff plonk if I like the taste. I am not thinking of the low alcohol wines.

Cheap carrots anyone??
I was in our local agricultural store at the weekend and they had carrots on sale for horsey people. 12.5 kg of washed carrots in a net bag for £3! I was sorely tempted, I imagine carrots process and freeze really well. In fact I might go back and see if they still have some next week :p

Morrisons Salad Bar full of BEEF
I went to Morrisons today and they have sliced beef in their salad bar! Nothing stopping you from filling up your tub with beef. It works out cheaper than buying it at the deli counter! It tastes really good too :money: I feel like such a cheapskate now though :rotfl:

Online grocery shopping-use-by dates
If you have your shopping delivered, e.g. on a Friday, what do you consider to be a reasonable use-by date for food items? I have been put off recently by short use-by dates but wondered if I am being fussy. In my opinion, I should be able to eke out my food items for the rest of the week, i.e. till next delivery. I know…

Marks and Spencer Honey with the honeycomb in middle
I wonder if you can help. I have a very difficult to buy for Aunt and apparently all she wants is Marks and Spencer Honey that has the honeycomb the bees have made inside the jar. I have looked and can't find it. Is this something they did years ago and she is still hankering after it, or has someone seen one in the shops?…

Mini bottle of Amaretto?
I am looking to make a Tiramisu for a dinner event next Friday and would like to use Amaretto in my recipe. I don't really want to spent a lot of money as I won't need more than 75 ml so a 100 ml bottle would be ideal. I wondered if Tesco or M&S may sell them but googling on only regular sized bottles come up.

Asda Bread
I've noticed that Asda own-brand white bread, the ones that are normally on offer 2 for £1, don't have ingredients or nutritional information listed on them. Isn't this against the law these days?
