M.I.A Bisto powder

Options
Am I the only one who still uses old fashioned Bisto powder?
I can't find it in my local Tesco or Asda.
If anyone knows where to get it from please help, I refuse to use instant granules. It seems like cheating, whereas Bisto powder is only half cheating as you still need to stir it :)

According to MySupermarket.co.uk available from ASDA, Tesco, Ocado and Sainsbury. I suppose it just depends on the size of ones local branch.

  • Thanks for that. My local Tesco is a large store but doesn't seem to stock as many items as it used to. I must live in a granule only area for people who want things done in an instant!
I may have to go to a much more relaxed town to find it. I will look out for the chilled out people with time on their hands and a smile on their faces.
  • The Bisto powder disappeared from my local shops last year too, and then suddenly re appeared!
I make sure I buy two boxes at a time now so I have one in stock in case they do it again.;)

I am another bisto powder fan I just don't get on with granules at all.I use bisto powder and a crumbled up OXo cube to make really lovely gravy.I buy mine from Sainsbobs but have noticed that the smaller Tesco metro's don't seem to stock it at all.

The powder is much better for you - has loads less calories. The granules are loaded with fat. I only noticed this last year & swapped over to the powder for this reason as we are all trying to lose some weight.
  • I use the powder too, generally get it from Asda.

I am convinced that the granules are a ploy to get us to spend more - have you noticed how much quicker the granules go? I do have granules in for emergency gravy though.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • Found some!
    In the smallest Morrison's.
It took ages at the check out, must be the leisurely gravy making people on the till.
