Is it likely I will be awarded dla for my daughter and what rate?
Hi My daughter was born 16 weeks early and is now 16 weeks old and is due to be discharged Wednesday, on home oxygen. She has a heart condition (PDA that hasn't closed and may require surgery in the future) this makes it harder for her to breathe hence why she's on oxygen and the fact her lungs are bad. She also had ROP (a…

Just can't wait toilet card.
https://www.bladderandbowelfoundation.org/resources/toilet-card Thought this link might be helpful. It costs £5 😊 B&BF’s toilet card clearly states that the holder has a medical condition and needs to use a toilet quickly. Although it does not guarantee you access to a toilet, most places you visit will be willing to help…

Personal Injury Trust
Following on from my earlier post in this group, after a recent court battle I've been awarded a sizeable amount of compensation. I've been advised to deposit this money into a trust fund and having read up on this I understand it all, almost. :) Now I realise that the best course of action when paying out a sum of money…

I need to get a grip
This is more of a 'get things off my chest' post, because it's all going round and round in my head. So please feel free to ignore! I'm really struggling with all my health problems. I know there's people on here with far worse, which is why I need to get a grip and pull myself together. Where to start! I'm under the care…

DLA - when to notify them of changes
My child has been on home oxygen and a cocktail of drugs to manage a few different problems he has. We/he was awarded DLA because of this (although the wording on the letter we received wasn't specific, just that he needed help with a number of tasks, IIRC). Since being awarded DLA, his community team have advised us to…

PIP - claiming 50% car tax reduction
OMG, this is so complicated:eek: Have just been sorting this out for my OH and it is really bizarre. You have to basically fill an application form V10 to tax your vehicle, even though it is already taxed. Then you send it off with the V5C form, MOT, DWP award statement (all originals, not copies) and a cheque for the…

Discriminated by PIP
I've recently received the big paperwork from Atos, with the application form I sent, my esa report and their response. After reading through all the paperwork I can clearly see they have discriminated against me, not only on my disabilitys, but for me as a transgender. I have BPD, social anxiety, depression, anxiety, MTF…
