Question re:severe disability premium & carers

I currently receive severe disability premium in my income support due to my disability and being a single parent.

My partner will be moving in shortly and will be looking after our son as im struggling to manage.

Our son has learning delay and quite behind (not yet walking at 2 1/2) amongst other things and I am awaiting a decision on whether or not he can get dla.
If he is awarded dla and my partner becomes his carer (and claims carers allowance) will i still be able to keep my severe disability premium or will that be stopped due to another adult living in the house and claiming carers (even though its not for caring for me)?

Unless your boyfriend comes under one of the exceptions then the SDP would stop, claiming carers is not one of them.

I'm confused, I'm sure you referred to living you with you partner when you had all your issues with your daughter, or am I confusing you with someone else?
