ESA amount - child left school

Options
Hi, my daughter turned 18 and left school at the end of last term. Her child benefit and tax credits stopped second week of September but I'm still receiving the same amount of ESA, £360 a fortnight (esa and disability premiums). She is now full time at the local college.

My question is, should my ESA amount have changed? Should I still be getting £360 a fortnight? I never called them and told them she has left school as I thought they would have known when the child benefit stopped.

Thank you.

Why would YOUR ESA change with whatever your daughter does. It doesn't affect your ESA if she leaves school, goes to college, starts work or whatever. It's a benefit for you being unable to work and your needs.

if the OP receives the severe disability premium ( and the figures suggest they do) this will stop if living with another adult.

if the child no longer qualifies for child related benefits then they are classes as a non dependant and as such the SDP will stop ( £appraise £62 a week)

Thanks I wasn't aware of a disability premium being related to anyone they may or may not live with. Had they asked about young carers I would have been more on board.

It's just me and her in the house and I get full housing benefit. She doesn't have a job, just gets a bursery. Will she gave to pay a share of the ring out of this or will the housing benefit cover it?

    Thanks!
