I currently have an overpayment of Housing Benefit of £8000 which i am paying off at £11 per week. My family have offered to help and we are thinking of offering a one off payment of half, £4000 as full and final settlement. Has anyone done this with their local council or any other debt?

Dwp threatening letter?
I owe £149 to dwp for overpaid benefits. We agreed payment plan at least a year ago £10 a month iv now had three letters from them over last year asking me to call them to increase my repayments. Each time I return the letter with a note stating £10 is what we agreed and £10 is what il pay. Can they make me pay more?
