Mortimer Clarke Chasing a 8 year old CCJ
Hello you lovely people. Just wanted to say what a great help this forum has been. As someone who suffers with mental health issues triggered by anything financial this place is an absolute godsend and not sure where I'd be without it. So about 13 years ago my life took a downward spiral and I found myself in loads of…

Hi, I have a very old CC debt originally from MBNA and which is serviced through a debt recovery company. I have been paying this off since 2014 with a nominal monthly amount. Cca and physical copy v online agreement
To comply with cca do they need physical agreement (in paper signed) or is an online copy ok? Do the tick box count as signature or do they need your actual signature? Would it be enforceable if they produce an online agreement not physical apart agreement ?

Historical Debts repeatedly moved between Debt Agencies
Hi All, I am after some advice please. Over 15 years ago my partner mismanaged some debts. He paid a company to deal with them on his behalf but they went bust, took his money and didn't action. He's therefore ended up with agreements to repay £1 a month for each. He says there are 6 in total for varying amounts. Since…

Advice (O2 Loan for device I do not own)
Wondering if you can advise and/or warn others about this seemingly innocuous yet devastating loophole in Financial legislation (or if I've fallen victim to something I had missed). I went to get a new mobile phone recently (from O2). The staff in the store screwed up the application process, so I returned home and applied…

Smi (Support for mortgage interest) while in an IVA
Hi all does anyone claim the SMI (support for mortgage interest) while in an IVA? I am looking at all my debt options currently and if I am unable to claim SMI that will massively reduce what I can pay. Would only be around £100pcm and on debts of £75000 not sure that would even be accepted as an IVA?
