Missing accounts in Transunion and MSE Credit Club reports
Finally got around to looking at these, only to find my two current accounts (both with overdraft arrangements) and my main two Credit Cards (with one of the current account providers) are missing. As is my small loan account with a Credit Union. Together that’s about 50% of my (exceptionally well managed… ;-)) credit…

Approaching a default
Hi all, I had some health issues a few years back and ended up defaulting on a CC debt. I tried to work with them but alas it went to a debt buyer. I have a payment plan with them and paying it off at a good pace. Is it right that they are still marking each month as a default? I am on year 3 of the debt on my credit file.…

Credit Club "Credit Insights" wrong
As in the title, MSE Credit Club reports: Credit Report Insights: You have 3 things to work on: *You’re using over 50% of the credit limit on at least one of your accounts -----------No I'm not. Nothing in the Transunion, Equifax or Experian reports suggest this. *You busted your credit limit on at least one account…

Credit card usage reporting?
Just had an update to my Transunion score in my Monzo app and it's dropped slightly. Not that it might make any difference in the real world, but it's showing that I'm utilising 97% (£2800) of my £2900ish limit on a card when I'm using £125 of that (going to clear that and close it in the next few days anyway). Cut the…

CCJ - removing charge on property - paid after 6 years
I've tried googling but can't find the help I need. So I'm hoping the MSE mindhive might be able to advise me. My partner, years before I met him, unfortunately had issues with our water company - he became stubborn and ended up with 5 CCJ's (including charges against his property) for unpaid bills! These have now all been…

Rejected faulty lease car, credit file
Hi all, I rejected my faulty lease car and the finance company agreed to rescind the contract, with the legal obligation to restore my position to as if the lease never happened. They say, however, that they cannot/will not remove the hard credit check from my file. Given the lease had to be terminated through no fault of…

Afternoon all, I'm in discussions with my I.P regarding a full and final settlement. Has anyone got any experience with how soon you were able to get credit for a vehicle after ending your IVA either early or on time as planned?

soft search history access for lenders
We all know there is hard & soft credit check as a search’s audit performed ln an individuals credit file by lenders . Hard searches are permanent markers and they are ‘shared’ by/for other lenders, while soft search history footprints are relatively new and the fact is, they do not affect credit score (which is contextual…

Financial association with ex partner on closed account
I see from the sticky that a bank account which defaulted and was closed will take 6 years to be removed from my credit file. The account in question is a joint account with the ex partner which had an overdraft balance of about £1500. It defaulted after I was made bankrupt in early 2019. I have no financial connection…

Defaults - what happens after 6 years
Hello I'm sorry if this question has an obvious answer but after searching online I can't find a definitive answer. I have lots of defaults on around 8 credit cards - the balances of which have mostly been transferred to other agencies now. They all defaulted in around 2021 and I have been making token payments for a some…

Closing down an old bank account
I have had a bank account for almost 10 years which I no longer use. I am inclined to close this down as I have several other accounts I use on a daily basis. The only thing that is holding me back is that Credit Karma says that closing down that account could have an impact on my credit score. I know well that is only a…

Credit Protection Association Limited
Not sure if I am posting in the correct board so I apologise in advance if I am. My Dad received a letter today from the Credit Protection Association Limited bringing to our attention of a debt unpaid. No details of when the debt was from, just the name of the company and the amount. My Dad has dementia now and so I took…

CCJ variation date of judgement reporting
Hi, In 2019 I defaulted on a credit card. It was sold to a debt collection agency in 2020. In 2020 a CCJ was issued for £8,500. I spoke to the debt collection agency in 2021 and was told the amount had been revised as the original creditor had overcharged interest. I did not engage with the debt collection agency and moved…

Experian Subscription - NEED TO CONTACT EXPERIAN!
I have recently had multiple credits from Experian in to my credit card account. I seem to have been paying £14.99 a month to Experian for what I wrongly assumed was relating to my ClearScore account. Looking online I can see no link between an Experian subscription and the free ClearScore app. This is a big mistake on my…

Can't login to Experian to stop subscription. How to contact them?
I can't login, which is strange because everything was securely noted and I'm just copy and pasting. I can't find a way to contact Experian. The subscription is for creditlock and reports which I can't access now. What if I cancel the credit card?
