Creation deny reporting a default to Experian and now refuse to get it removed
Hello, I'm in a frustrating situation at the moment and so I'm posting to see if anyone has been in a similar position and if they have any advice. I raised a complaint with Creation in October 2025 because I thought my loan account with them should have been defaulted back in 2019 when it was 6+ months in arrears (as per…

Aviva Zero - Missed Payment - Credit File impact.
Hello, I’m currently with Aviva Zero, and my direct debit was due to be taken yesterday. However, I received a notification from Monzo that the payment had failed because I had forgotten to switch the direct debit back to my main bank account. I contacted customer support via online chat the same day, explained the…

What would generate these soft searches?
This is off my Transunion free report accessed through MSE. I was surprised to see a number of soft searches today. I haven't looked online for anything to buy so not sure why these would show up. fyi - I don't bank with HSBC and have never used or needed Jaja or Lendable. Meanwhile I've received an email from Experian to…

long story short, my wife is self employed and had a medical issue which meant she needed treatment and couldn’t work for a year. I was therefore having to cover bills etc until it became too much and I had to enter a DMP. One of the companies I had a loan with I was only able to make 1 payment to, we had hoped that by…

Late account on Experian
Hi there. I really need some advice. BacBack in 2012 whilst working for a car finance company, I took out a personal loan with them to consolidate some cards and loans. 2 years later, I was forced out of the company. Unable to find a job for a number of years, I paid them £4.00 to stop the account going into default. Now I…

Virgin Media Default Preventing Mortage
Hi everyone I've seen a few of these Virgin Media default threads but seems there haven't been any for a few years so thought I'd ask the community again. We switched to Vodafone from Virgin last year, and were issued a final bill of 100 quid I assumed it would have been taken by direct debit as normal but for some reason…

I've been refused for a current account
Can anyone help with a couple of questions regarding credit reference agencies please? Yesterday I tried to open a current account with a new bank, but was refused. I keep a close eye on my credit rating, and with Experian it is good and bordering on Excellent. The only thing I can think of is that the previous day I made…

Clearscore/Equifax Correction Query
Hi all, I noticed an error on my profile - a duplicated mortgage with the same provider a while back. I flagged it with Clearscore who said I should contact Equifax. Why can’t I access real-time credit reporting on all credit reports?
I’m signed up for the free version of Equifax and Experian credit report and Credit Club. On Equifax and Experian I have to wait a month to a new version of my credit report. On Credit Club I get a new report every time I login (I believe?). Does anyone know why real time access to all credit reports are unavailable?

Experian Credit Report
I'm quite well off & consider myself quite financially astute. Now well into my early retirement I have become fairly inactive with regards to credit. Unknown associate on credit file
Hello all, I’m new here. I’ve had a search but can’t find anything about this issue. I logged into Equifax for the first time to try to track down previous car finance agreements. Unfortunately nothing there, but I was very confused by what I found. There is a financial association listed that I do not recognise. The name…

Identity fraud seen on Credit report
I found a hard credit check on my credit report and have had a Notice of Correction issued, changed passwords and reported in on the Police Action Fraud website. Also registered with the Cifas website. Is there anything else I should do? By the way I wasn't given a crime number when I reported it to the Police on-line.…

Credit Checks
This is a question out of curiosity. I receive updates from two different companies regarding my Credit score. Both are usually pretty similar. Recently one notified my score had dropped slightly as I was not utilising my credit. The other said my rating had increased as my credit useage had gone down. My overall rating is…

British Gas still reporting to CRAs after account was closed
I closed my British Gas account in January 2026 but it's still showing as open with TransUnion and Experian after 2 months. ID Mobile sent debt to debt collection agency without contacting me first
I was shocked to get a letter from a debt collection agency yesterday for the amount of £18.53 I had no notification from ID Mobile that I owed this amount otherwise I would have paid it. Switching Service Error
Looking for some advice please! I switched banks from TSB to RBS in July 2023 using the Current Account Switching Service. After the switch, it transpired that there was an outstanding amount due of £85.00. I was unaware of this as TSB had failed to update my address once I moved, despite my request for them to do so, so…
