I signed up last year to Canopy the site that can track your rent , I didn’t use the pay option , anyway I changed bank accounts forgot to reconnect tge bank checked my credit score on Experian 2 days ago and it said missed rent payment , I’m livid , I have never missed a rent payment and currently trying to find somewhere to live as been given a section 21 no fault eviction , try doing that near Reading as a single person earning less than 28k soon to be homeless! Anyway that has really !!!!!! me off as it doesn’t state anywhere that if you don’t add the bank account again it shows as a missed rent payment! Personally I think that’s pretty bad and have told them that what’s the point in trying to make it better

This is where being able to speak to an actual human and show them a simple mistake has been made would sort it out. I would make sure you have a printed copy of bank statement showing rent payment going out, and before viewing a property visit the agent and show them the situation and explain it, then they can re-assure a landlord that they know you are a reliable tenant who pays the rent on time every month.Like many landlords I conduct viewings to meet prospective tenants - I have taken a tenant with a CCJ (for parking) where if he hadn't been upfront about it and provided some proof I would have just rejected him out of hand.Top 3 criteria fo tenants from landlords side ...1. Pay the rent2. Look after the property3. Not annoy the neighboursIn addition the tenant needs to be pleasant and communicate well with myself and wife at viewings.Although this is just my preference I would think most landlords would take a similar view. Hope it helps.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

That should not be a problem with any future landlord as you can prove that you paid it. Tracytrace said:Tracytrace said:anyway I changed bank accounts forgot to reconnect tge bank checked my credit score on Experian 2 days ago and it said missed rent payment ,
I can see how it is frustrating but it is not worth wasting that much negative energy on. Life's too short. :-)I’m livid ,0
