I had a default of £1,775.85. I paid that today in full by bank transfer. When will that be updated to 0 balance and settled? I'm in hospital and never check my credit file until recently, so I'm paying my defaults off.

It should show on your credit report when Ovo next send their data feed to the CRA.  All companies send their feeds in at different times, but weekly or monthly is fairly common.  Bear in mind that the free report you see is not updated in real-time (unlike the paid-for version that lenders use), so it may take a little longer for you to be able to see it.

The default will remain visible on your report for 6 years - how much weighting any particular lender will give it depends on their individual lending criteria.  But it's impact will diminish over time, and it'll disappear after 6 years.

I just want the to say settled, so I can move on. I've paid off all defaults and 2 ccjs gave gone to court via n244 forms to be set aside as I didn't receive paperwork/e-mail.
