Bank closing account in 60 days

Santander have said there has been some suspicious activity on our bank account which has been blocked and are closing it in 60 days, the suspicious activity is against my husband's bank card. Can I still use the bank account switching service and should we still be able to get a joint account?

You should also check CIFAS for any markers.

If anything comes up there you may have difficulties opening another bank account.
For now, probably best to have separate accounts until you ascertain what is going on.1 -
For the moment I'd forget about switching and just try and get yourself a current account elsewhere (if you don't already have one).
In your sole name.
You run the risk of being left without banking services if this joint Santander account is your only account.

Also, as this is happening more often it would be a good idea to have more than one bank account - even if you only use it once a month or so - so you have a backstop in future1
