Should I pay off in full now or wait until just before the 0% deal ends
I have just over £4K in credit card debt which was transferred to a 0% card in April of this year. The 0% deal runs out in October 2024. I have been paying this off at a rate of about £200 a month and I have no intention of spending on this card. Recently I am in a position to pay that debt (my only debt) off in full.…

Paying for Building work over 30k
My daughter is having an extension & cost is 40k so over limit for credit card section 75 so what would be the best/safest way to pay? They have arranged to pay after each ‘stage’ so it’s split up into small amounts but presumably this wouldn’t count as separate works & therefore covered thanks for any advice

Onmo - anyone else on here use them

I have one credit card at moment which has £200 limit which is clear by the way as I always use it then pay it in full at each month. Happened to check my clearscore earlier on offers and saw I was preapproved for a new credit card with onmo. I…

Section 75 and car trade-in
Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act protects purchases, where a credit card is used, for an item that costs between £100 and £30,000. A purchase over that limits is not covered - at all. Does anyone know if Sections 75 provides protection if, say, you pay £23,000 and trade in your old car for £12,000 - giving a total…

Admitted human banking error but they still want us to pay?
My dad turns 87 at the weekend and has always gone to the bank with cash to pay the bills. They call 2 days later to say that there has been a mistake on the part of the cashier…

Closed credit card and refunds
During the past year, I have closed a credit card account and had 2 moved to new providers - keeping track of the numbers is a tad tricky. Discrepancy between eligibility checkers
I've had a basic, standard credit card for a few months now (my first one ever), the other week they tripled my credit limit, and on Experian it's now 900+ after several months - all paid by direct debit straight away, sometimes paid in advance for the sake of it. I'd wanted to eventually move to getting an Amex Rewards…
