Pending transactions
Are there any credit cards that allow you to pay pending transactions on the payment due date? We use our credit card a lot and always pay the credit card balance rather than the statement balance each month. This seems to cause some confusion however because the previous month's pending transactions are added on to the…

Please help! RE: Section 75
We've made a large purchase towards building a home, with the deposit on credit card (would all have been on credit card if we had enough of a limit) The company has gone bust. The total was over £30,000. Martin Lewis's advices this means section 75 does not apply and to use a chargeback, we can't do that as the invoice…

Who still makes embossed credit cards?
As per the title really. I've booked a hire in the USA and the T&Cs state that I will need an embossed credit card when i collect the car. I know it seems ridiculous but I've been stung by ridiculous hire car rules before. I'm happy to apply for a new credit card just for this purpose. I have a Virgin Money credit card and…

Section 75 Question / Offer from Bank
Hi, We bought some garage doors and paid some of it on CC (to get the protection). Subsequently, we had some issues with them, and upon contacting the company, they have gone bust. The CC company (Sainbsburys Bank) asked for a report, which I got a local company to do, to quote to fix them, which equated to about 50% of…

Credit cards and auto-renewal of contracts
My husband took out a contract with Mcafee anti-virus software many years ago. He usually purchased a renewed contract at about half the price of the auto-renewal fee each year or so. This year he wanted to cancel it. He had a very late warning that it was due to auto-renew and he told them he didn't want it to. Despite…

Credit Card spend analysis (not 3rd party)
Hi, I was hoping that there might be someone out there that might be able to let me know whether there are any credit card companies that provide an analysis of spend by category during a date range (or last statement) or simply total spend / receipts since last statement. We make regular payments to pay off part of my…

Transaction messages
Hi. I've been using a credit card that sends a text immediately a transaction is made. Apart from the obvious anti fraud value it made it incredible easy to do my monthly reconciliations when I got my statement. Also meant I didn't have to ask for a receipt every time. They've now raised the lower limit to £100 which makes…

Card clash: if you use contactless to travel, how do you organise your cards?
If you use contactless payment when travelling, how do you avoid card clash? Do you use RFID-blocking sleeves? Do you only carry one card with you when you go out? Do you take several cards but keep them in different places? Or do you use a virtual wallet on a mobile phone to pay instead?
