Credit card protection for service
So its a strange one and posting on behalf of family as i'm unsure how this works compared to buying a product. So family purchased a cemetery plot on 19th Jul 2022 (paid £2400), and appears they used a credit card (they need to confirm that when they return from holiday). They have only come to realise it this week the…

Section 75/CRA claims with Amex
I bought a robot vacuum cleaner from Amazon in 2021. After a couple of years of service, it's suddenly stopped navigating around the house (possibly related to a firmware update, but I can't easily prove that) - so became completely useless, six weeks outside of the warranty. I spoke to the manufacturer, who couldn't offer…

As is there any benefits in getting a Amex credit card (if so which one) to use while on holiday or do I just get a Chase card or other credit card instead. Thanks in…

When Doing a Balance Transfer, Is the Fee Due Straight Away or Added to the Balance?
Hi, I've recently moved four credit card balances to TSB with total fees around the £200 mark. They've added the fees to the first statement produced after the transfers went through. Is this normal practice? I thought the fees went onto the balance so you could pay the debt off over time. Thanks.

NatWest are stopping their Buy Now Pay Later card , any alternatives?
I was invited by NatWest to take this out last year. Nice small limit of £750, great for smaller purchases that I could spread interest free over 4 months. Last week I got a letter saying they are closing BNPL for everyone. Do other banks offer something similar? It was great for me as I only needed one app for all my…

We are looking to get our driveway done and would need it asap so that we can benefit from the cheaper charging rate for an electric car. I want to ask about getting a money transfer to fund it. Would it harm my credit file..…

Seller sent items week after chargeback dispute settled
Good Morning all, I'm not sure if this is in the right forum so apologies, as I wasn't sure where this fits. I purchased goods from the tiktok shop that were meant to be delivered before Christmas in December 2023. On February 9th, the items still hadn't arrived so I contacted my credit card company and raised a dispute.…

Barclaycard declined Credit Card application despite being pre approved, appeal or apply elsewhere
Applied for a Barclaycard 0% charge and 0% transfer in order to pay off another credit card that I was about to pay off with a bonus but was (quite rightly) convinced by the Pension forum to sacrifice the bonus in to my pension and to pay off the CC another way. All good up until Barclay Card declined me despite being…

Credit card scam with same IP address
I fell for a scam on IG last week and foolishly gave my credit card details. They took £7.87 and a non sterling transaction fee of 22p. It was only when I saw this and the name for the transaction that I realised it was a scam. It was supposed to be £9.95 and a different name. I filled in an online form to get my money…

Low credit limit and 70% chance - I have an good credit score
Hi, I've been trying to get a credit card of around £5k over the last couple of months to balance transfer another card (with £4.5k on it) - as 0% balance ends soon. Nothing but a scam!
Hi all, this situation is ongoing so I may yet be sorted out but for now, I am fuming. We recently cancelled a holiday and the money was paid back into my Lloyds Credit card account from whence it came. I then attempted to transfer the money to the current account but there was no direct option to do so. However the site…

Hi all, I hope someone can help. I had a Vanquis credit card and the credit limit was increased several times over many years, never at my request.
