Halifax Credit Card statements arent available for 2024

Options

Hey everyone,

I'm reaching out to see if anyone else is experiencing a frustrating issue with their bank regarding missing PDF credit card statements. Since the beginning of 2024, despite selecting online PDF statements as my preference, I haven't been able to download a single statement. When I log in, it simply says, "No monthly statements have been generated for this credit card account for this year."

This has become a major problem for me, especially since I recently needed to provide my latest statement to my insurance company to complete a claim. Due to the missing statements, I couldn't fulfill this requirement, resulting in significant financial distress and loss.

I'm aware that monthly statements are legally mandated, but it seems there's a glaring issue with the bank's system that's causing this disruption. Has anyone else encountered a similar situation, and if so, have you found any effective ways to resolve it? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to hearing from you all.

I've only ever seen a message like that on Halifax when there have been no credit card transactions in the period

I didnt have transactions for a long while, and then did have a number of transactions in the last credit card cycle. The cycle ends runs from 23th -22th of the following month. Today is 23rd of April, so statement should have been generated.  There's an amount due to be paid with direct debit, but no PDF statement generated for it...

So even though you're now anticipating a statement being available imminently, by virtue of spending during the cycle ending yesterday, at the time of the request from the insurance company the 'latest statement' would have been a pre-2024 one when you'd previously used the card - did you supply them with this and explain why there weren't any more recent ones?
