Amex dispute claim frustration
I bought an iphone on Ebay with my Amex card. The iphone was not as described so I wanted to send it back but seller refused to accept return. I should have waited for Ebay to resolve the case, but because I am new to this, I also opened a dispute claim with Amex (same reason, not as described) and provided them with…

Will section 75 cover a Groupon purchase?
Hi all, I bought a pair of AirPod pros back in Oct 2020 via Groupon, I've had intermittent issues with them over the last year or so but didn't think too much of it until I'd seen Apple had issued a notice that some of their 1st gen Airpod Pros have had manufacturing…

Dealing with repeated card compromises
Hi folks. I have a Mastercard credit card. It has now been compromised three times in the space of 2, maybe 3 months. The card provider tell me that only Mastercard can provide the information as to the source of the compromise because they are the ones sending notifications. Every contact I have with Mastercard (including…

Reduce credit limit?
Bit of advice please. I've just been approved for a credit card, but the credit limit is way more than I'm ever likely to use. I've seen contradictory advice, one side suggesting I reduce it, while the other side suggests I keep it at the current level. What do you recommend?

Pulse Card Boosted Payments increasing
Hi - I have a Pulse Card credit card and, for the last few months have been paying the boosted payments as the company suggest. However, my payments seem to be going up and not down? If I was paying the minimum payment I'd understand, if I was using the credit card again, I'd get it. But I'm not using it at all - haven't…

Refund to 'old' John Lewis Partnership Card
A merchant has just made a refund to the original card I used to purchase some goods, unfortunately this was to my 'old' (HSBC) John Lewis Partnership Card that was automatically closed in November 2022. Someone encountered the same issue last year and created this thread, but nothing was posted regarding…

Paying off part of card
Spent some money last month, let's say £10,000 on a credit card. A bill has been produced and a DD will take the amount from a specific bank account in about 7 days. If I "make a payment" to the card and pay off half, I guess the DD will only claim the remaining £5,000? It's an American Express credit card.

Quick Utilisation Question
Probably a question that's been asked plenty. All things being equal (amount of credit available, debt, income etc), are lenders more likely to make decisions based on your overall credit utilisation rate or individual provider utilisation rates? I'm clearing down my highest interest bearing cards first (based on APR) and…
