Low minimum payment on % balance transfer cc

Hi
0% Balance transfer deal coming to an end & looking for new one but how can I tell what % the new cards minimum monthly payment will be without contacting each card provider?
Any deals out there with a low % minimum payment?
TIA

Not aware of any comparison sites that allow filtering by monthly repayment, but you don't actually need to contact providers as such, you can just read the data shown at sites like https://moneyfactscompare.co.uk/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards/

However, if you're concerned about size of monthly repayments, that might indicate affordability issues and so the best starting point would probably be one of the eligibility checkers: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/eligibility/credit-cards/search/?goal=CC_BALTRANSFERV2

My Santander and MBNA cards were going for 1% whereas M&S and Barclaycard were 2.5%.

And adding on from what eskbanker has said if affordability is an issue perhaps you need to get some help with your budget and see what can be streamlined so you are sailing too close to the wind.  Best thing is to go to the debt free wannabe board and look for the  statement of accounts (SOA) on one of the top stickies.  Complete that and post it on that board and people will give you helpful advice.

They seem to vary, Barclays dropped to 1% for some people - mine is for example

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

You could try looking at the T&Cs on each individual lender's website, that should give you a good idea of what their standard minimum payment is.
But I have to agree with previous comments - if you're looking for the lowest minimum payment because you're struggling with repayments, it would be prudent to re-examine your overall budget.  Yes, switching to another 0% deal will give you another year or whatever of breathing space, but only paying the minimum will not make much of a dent in your debt - and there will come a time when you're unable to get another 0% deal.
If, on the other hand, you're just looking to maximise your "stoozing" pot by getting the lowest possible payment on a 0% deal then fine, no problem at all.

https://moneyfactscompare.co.uk/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards/ shows it, but you have to click View Further Details for each card listed there.
  • Thanks all. That link is very helpful. Try to pay a bit more each month but not always possible.
