Refunds on credit card

Purchased some items from Amazon on my credit card totalling £120. So balance on my credit card is £120 as nothing else purchased on it recently.

I returned the items to Amazon who earlier today issued a refund, and i can see them under pending transactions as a credit.

On the Halifax app it says my credit card balance is £120 "after pending". If its after pending shouldnt the £120 refund be applied already, making the balance zero?

Or do i have to wait for the refund to clear to update? The "after pending" is abit confusing as doesnt appear to include credit, only spending

Pending on the Credit Card or Amazon?

They may not count retailer refunds until the clear as refunds do not count towards payments.

It probably includes spending and payments you make, but not retailer refunds.
