Balance Transfer to make - go with GE Money or Natwest?
Planning to transfer about £5k of my Post Office card in the next couple of months to another card. Was planning to go with the GE Money card as it seems for longest available (12 months) with a capped fee. However after reading Martin's column and various threads saying how picky they are, am I better going straight for…

Problems with Barclaycard!
I have a Barclaycard where I don't owe anything on at the moment. (Credit limit £400 - OK, I'm a pensioner!) I wrote and said I wanted a better interest rate than 24.9%!!! or I wouldn't use the card anymore. They wrote me a letter saying they'd give me 11.9% plus I could make a balance free transfer. Whoopee, I thought!…

We have a GE Money Transformation card which we got last month and would like to know does the 12 months 0% begin from the date of your 1st purchase?, from the date the card is issued?, Is it 12 months 0% for every purchase and then you get charged the…

Why isn't this being promoted?
I've been following Martin's advise and have finally moved gas and leccy. A week later I got a letter from Amex advising that the cashback is being reduced on my blue card. I've checked my spending and in the last 12 months I did £2,700 with them and I don't earn enough for a Platinum. Most of that is on (or rather IN) the…

Does having fraud commited on my card count against my credit score...
Hi, My apologies if this has been answered elsewhere on the board but I couldn't find the answer to this by searching. The other day I was making a purchase from a store at my local shopping centre and the cashier asked if I'd like to open up a store account. If I did I'd get a small discount on the cost of the items…

69.3% Apr
That's what Barclaycard charged me for a £50 cash advance last June. I have NEVER previously withdrawn cash on a credit card, but was forced to late one Saturday night when all the cash points in central Oxford were either empty or not accepting my Connect card, and in desperation I put in my Barclaycard for which I had…

Insurance for purchases
My existing credit card, which gives air miles, has withdrawn insurance cover for purchases made with the card. Can anyone recommend a card that continues to offer cover. I pay my card off every month and so am not concerned with low or zero interest rates. It would be nice to earn some kind of reward however. Thank you.

e-mail notification of Credit Card transactions
I would place a lot of value on a facility whereby my credit card provider e-mailed me whenever my account was debited. In my case this would be a very effective means of fraud control, because I'd normally get the notification straight away. Has anybody ever come across such a service or facility? Currently I log-in to my…
