Ashampoo Burning Studio ASHDISC image files
Many moons ago I converted some DVDs using Ashampoo Burning Studio (ABS) creating their own image files in ASHDISC format. I no longer use ABS and wanted to read/use the disc images which it turns out are not recognised by media software etc - therefore I wanted to convert these files to the industry standard ISO format.…

“Conditional Call Forwarding Active” on J3 phone
Hi, I just swapped the SIM cards in my two phones, and I did the usual checks; called each other and my landline. Then texted each phone from the other. Everything worked except I could not call my landline. It hangs up straight away on my Samsung J3 phone saying “Conditional Call Forwarding Active” I double checked and…

Integrated fridge
I have an existing standard 600mm under counter kitchen cupboard that I want to house an integrated fridge in. I have been told by the people who supplied my kitchen (several years ago) that I cannot use the existing door, I need a door especially for integrated appliances. They no longer stock the kitchen doors that I…

Unused mobiles.
I have 2 mobiles that are no longer in use, they are cheapies, is it worth selling them and what do I have to do to make them safe. I was intending to return to factory settings and remove the sim cards, is this enough? I think I will be lucky if I get £10 for them but it gets them away and out of a cupboard.

Dumb question about Gmail
Thinking of going over to a Chromebook rather than another Windoze laptop, but I've always used Thunderbird for emails. I have four different Gmail accounts, so the question is - if I go over to using the default Gmail setup on a Chromebook, would all my incoming emails show up in the same inbox, or would I have to open…

Sky q box with no dish
We are about to move house but I doubt we could get the dish up in a suitable place at the new house. We have a few months left on our sky contract so would probably still use the sky q box with no dish. I know the live channels would be lost but stuff like Netflix and YouTube would still be OK. Not sure about stuff like…

Windows 10 Toshiba Laptop usb port problem
Something weird going on with the usb ports (and sd card reader port) on windows 10 laptop. When any usb storage device is plugged in it reports 'You need to format the disk in E:\'. I've tested the usb stick on another laptop and it's fine and the data is all readable. Even when I agree to format it tries to, then reports…

Trade in an old mobile or sell it - What's better?
Hello forum, I've been thinking about purchasing the new Pixel 6 and I'm looking into what could be the best option to maximise the value of the Pixel 5 I currently own. I bought this Pixel 5 back in March, and it's in pristine condition. I saw that Google Store offers a trade in option, and so do some other sites. I never…

Ethernet network switch question
We are with Vodafone and use their modem router which has 4 ethernet slots at the back. We need 2 extra ethernet slots so can I buy a 5 port, i.e. continue to use the vodafone modem router and spill over the 2 extra required ones onto this switch? Or would it not work because all the ethernet cables need to be plugged in…

PC broadband speed when iphone is connected
Please does anyone know why my computer's wifi broadband speed is reduced dramatically when my iphone is connected to it by a cable? Our wifi is rubbish at the best of times - fibre speeds of 18mbps instead of the promised 30 - but when I connect the iphone it reduces to between 2 and 5 mbps. I just wondered if anyone else…
