Why Does My "G Mail "All Inboxes" and "Inbox" Setting Keep Changing?

Explanaton.

To avoid any misunderstandings I have deleated my old misunderstood "sorted" post, and added "Edit" to my OP line "Samsung" etc.,  that was originally added as a result of, a now deleated initial response, by a poster.

Is your problem still evident? Was it as I described? (Gmail app set to All Inboxes; read some emails; close the app; open the app and you now see a specific Inbox [probably relating to the last email read] rather than All Inboxes, so you have to reselect it).

I've no idea why my first previous reply has been deleted - board guides could have easily edited it to remove the first line, which would have saved me having to type the same thing all over again. 🙄

 Yes, my gmail problem is as you describe..

The app usually does it, but not always, never been able to figure out why.

In which case I think it's just "one of those things that Google knows about (and have for years) but aren't putting any priority on fixing".

Perhaps try different email apps? (I don't find it such an issue that I feel the need to try to resolve it for myself - it's only a couple of taps to get back to All Inboxes).

I believe that it restarts showing the inbox of the account from where you last clicked on the account icon from the right of the search box , it is a pain for me too I have 8 email addresses and it really is annoying at times but haven't found a solution yet.
