I have 2 mobiles that are no longer in use, they are cheapies, is it worth selling them and what do I have to do to make them safe. I was intending to return to factory settings and remove the sim cards, is this enough? I think I will be lucky if I get £10 for them but it gets them away and out of a cupboard.

What is the make and model of the phones?
Factory reset and remove the SIM and any SD cards is usually enough but with Apple for example you need to remove them from iCloud to allow them to be reused.0 -
Just going to throw MSE's Sell your old mobiles guide into the mix in case it's helpful. It mentions a few sites which compare phone recyclers. Best of luck.0

I personally would keep one as back up, then sell the other one to CEX.1

As you can see from the 1st reply to your thread, giving details can be important as the route to making them safe for resale may differ.

You may have other things to do, but adding the info when you created the thread would have taken you 10 seconds at most.

If you do a factory reset (in iphone terms, remove all content and data) on an iPhone it goes through the matter of iCloud as part of the process, it doesnt have to be done separately .[Deleted User] said:

Only if you remember to disable "find my iPhone" before doing the factory reset - in my experience it doesn't prompt for this before doing a factory reset, you have to do it as a manual step before or after the factory reset.Sandtree said:
