PPI & Bankruptcy
HI, Is it true that you cannot re-claim PPI if you have been previously bankrupt? I had PPI on 2 bank loans dating back to the late 1990's. These loans were settled. In 2010 after a horrendous divorce I applied for voluntary bankruptcy and then was discharged exactly one year later, 2011. Last year I attempted to claim PPI…

Hi, Hope someone can help. About 2013 rbs sent me a ppi offer, I think it was for a loan, about £900. I made my first ever attempt at claiming PPI at the weekend and used the Resolver service within the MSE site. I have only made 2 claims so far - both Halifax - but will make more. Hi, I took out PPI for my mortgage through a Financial Advisor 17 years ago (he also arranged my mortgage and life cover for it). At the time I would have been paid sick pay for 3 months. Is PPI tax paid linked to individual tax accounts and NI numbers?
Is PPI income tax paid as some sort of blanket agreement between the banks and HMRC, or is it paid in ones name and matched up to NI number and tax account? I assume it is the same process as when banks deduct interest on any other savings. Does anyone know exactly how this system works? Thanks.

1990 loan
Hi Back in 1990 I applied for a loan for a car. I got refused because of my age as I was probably 19 at the time. When I asked for my application to be reconsidered they told me I could have the loan but only if I took out PPI. I told them at the time that this was unfair as I was in full time work but they told me it was…
