Hi I am new to this forum. I've received a letter from my bank stating I am entitled to some money back on PPI for credit card, loan and mortgage. However if I accept the money they will then cancel my Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover on my mortgage.
Can they do this?
There is no way of accepting only the credit card and loan PPI it seems to be all or nothing.
I havent contacted them about it yet, thought I would see if anyone else had had experience of this.
Thanks in advance

That is rare. They must have had some failing they spotted without the need for you to raise a complaint.owever if I accept the money they will then cancel my Accident, Sickness and Unemployment cover on my mortgage.

Yes they can. The redress is for returning premiums paid and voiding the policy as if it never existed. There is no way of accepting only the credit card and loan PPI it seems to be all or nothing.
I cant see why thy coulnt split it. You could tell them the MPPI was not mis-sold as you wanted it but the CC PPI was mis-sold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
