If you fail should you try a ppi claims company?

Hi everyone, need some help. I got PPI when I took out finance with a car back in Jan 2001. The finance was to GE Capital Motor finance which was sold to Santander in 2005. Now I have statements going back to this time with the reference number of agreement and the monthly payment of £145 but no original paperwork. I've gone through the Resolver website, Santander have rejected it saying we only go back as far as 2005 and I've just been rejected by the financial ombudsman. So I don't know where to go from here? should I try one of those PPI firms to see if they can locate the agreement? I mean 70% of something is better the 100% of nothing right? Any advice

You give up.should I try one of those PPI firms to see if they can locate the agreement?
The agreement is not in the public domain. Only two have a copy of that agreement. The lender and you. If neither of you retained a copy then no-one else will have it.
CMCs use the FCA free-of-charge complaints process you used. The same staff, the same process and the same FOS. If you employed a CMC, they would likely charge you for being a timewaster.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. You go nowhere. No one else has a magic finger to make paperwork appear.
Even if they did, as above, it's pre regulation.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
