Gladstone brookes

Options
Hello, just after an answer. Gladstone brookes have found that 3 lenders i have used in the past (10 years ago and accounts closed) sold me ppi and they can make a claim at the cost of 25% fee. I am thinking that I should do this myself to not pay the fee. If i dont sign the papers agreeing to go forward and do this myself. How simple is it, looking on this site its all there for me to use, templates etc. But how hard is the actually chasing up etc, i have no records so that would be my first action. Can anyone give me some advise please?
Thanks

It's simpler than using a claims company.

How did they find this out as this sort of information is not in the public domain? Did you sign a letter of authority or contract with them to write to the lenders?

    Easier than using a CMC.

CMCs dont chase up and neither do you. You complain and sit back and wait.

I initially contacted them to look on my behalf which was at no cost. Now they have found that I did, i have to sign new forms to say they will go ahead and claim on my behalf and receive the 25% fee of what is won.
