0845 845 0050 hounding you too?
Everyday I get a call from these people. If you aren't in they don't leave a message, just some background office noise on the answerphone and then they hang up. If you are in they start with "have you applied for a credit card recently?" I said it was none of their business and who were they? They then asked if I had any…

Orange upgrade scandal
I have an Orange mobile phone. I got this in Feb 2007 and so I should be eligible for an upgrade handset as of May 2008 but I'm not. WHY? Because I took out their broadband offer. If you take out the broadband offer it automatically resets your mobile phone contract to zero. That's right, the two are completely different…

I'll try not to drag on... My branch closed down a few weeks ago and moved into WHSmith, which makes my journey even longer. So I was waiting in the que to be served and 20 minutes later I do. I say to the woman (who was new as I'd never seen her before); clear as always "this one first class recorded, and can I pay in…

Contacting Woolworths
Why is it that Woolworths don't just use normal email? My mum used their website for the first time last month to order an exercise bike and, after finding it cheaper elsewhere tried to cancel the order. But instead of just emailing them you have to use their own message system (like PMing). So now I cant see what messages…

purplelife
I had never heard of purplelife (although I do lead a sheltered existence) until my dad took me to their Newbury store on Saturday. He'd gone in there ready to be told he needed a new phone, which would have been a problem because he needs one with big keys and it took him long enough to learn how to answer this one. But…

Mc Donalds suck
My Son works for Mc Donalds. It's a good way to earn a few quid while at college etc. Yesterday we went out for the day so he had to get a bus for work, which he missed! So he walked 5 miles to work. Having got there he realised he had forgotten his work T-shirt, so asked if he could borrow one. The shift manager said no,…

Pasta in Sauce = Tinned Meat or Fish
According to ASDA. it is. I've just gotten over a bout of this chest infection/man flu' bug that's been doing the rounds, so I thought I'd better use some of the little energy it's left me with replenishing the supplies - not that I've eaten much over the past week. As I'm off work, I used a different branch of ASDA, so…
