I'll try not to drag on...
My branch closed down a few weeks ago and moved into WHSmith, which makes my journey even longer. So I was waiting in the que to be served and 20 minutes later I do. I say to the woman (who was new as I'd never seen her before); clear as always "this one first class recorded, and can I pay in first class stamps?" She looked confused and said "stamps?" I go yeah you can use them on packages to. She goes okay, so I ask her how many I need and she goes "I dunno you're have to work it out for yourself" , so I get my phone out and do the calculations and get the extra penny stamps. First item processed, 2 to go.
I ask for these to be done second class with a p.o.p, she goes ok. She does the second one and I ask how many stamps it'll be, again she tells me to work it out. So I get it sorted and thought it was expensive, but just carried on. The third one was just a normal letter, and she goes £1.24 - shocked at this, I ask "how are you doing this?" She goes "first class recorded".
So I make her do it all over again, but the thing is she just took of some stamps and didn't even bother to work out how many should actually be took off! I doubt they will arrive to be honest. I think its because I'm a teenager, as I doubt she would ask an adult to work out the price.
I will definitely be writing a letter to HQ.
