Price Dropped £80 day of delivery

Options

Hope someone can help me. I bought a product from Dixons/Curry's a week ago which was due for delivery Thursday.

Product turned up. All happy until I was browsing the web later that day to find the price had dropped by £80.

I have looked around as I know some companies say if the price drops with x days they will refund the drop.

Anyone know if Dixons have this policy? If so. Where can I find it?

Policies like that aren't usually published. The only reason they're offered is to save the company the expense of collecting it only to deliver the same thing.

Give them a call and ask. If they say no point out you could just get the difference by returning it and buying it again. If they still say no ask them to collect it, then buy it again.

Do curry's offer a money back guarantee if you merely change your mind (which is what the op will be doing?)
The product is not faulty so I would say your chances of getting a refund out of them are nil.
It is a struggle getting a refund from them when the product is faulty.

Perhaps Pound assumed it was bought online and thus the DSR would apply. If that's the case then doing as he said would be fine.

OP must have bought it online if they got it from Dixons.

Yeah... that's what I said. And as someone else said, DSR is one of the reasons many companies have a policy of refunding the difference if the price changes within a certain amount of time, It saves them the hassle of collecting an item only to deliver it again a few days alter.

Heavensbug...The seem thing happened me I ordered a 42"TV from Dixons it got delivered today and I also checked the Dixons website and the TV is now reduced £50.

Be interested to know did you get the difference refunded or is it possible.

Going to phone them ASAP and see what they say.

Not had a chance to yet as the whole kitchen is being gutted. Hence the new fridge :D

Don't really want to arrange for it to be collected then re-ordered as the hours I will lose will off set against the £80.

I know amazon publish the policy, was hoping dixons/curry's do the same but would appear not.

Probably have to take it on the chin but shame really.
