Got a letter yesterday to say that from September, it will be £12.99 a month. I don't think so! That is absolutely scandalous.

Certainly is just phoned to cancel and you seem to get through to Newry now as everyone I spoke to had Norn Iron Accents. Cancelled on phone but they insist you must also cancel by letter to head office in Sunderland:rolleyes:

Thankfully I pay by DD so will allow 1 more payment in July and cancel DD then;)
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

I would cancel by phone and then letter to the address they give you on the phone to be sure;)

They have been known to issue threats for unpaid accounts when DD's are stopped, if you have proof of cancellation they have no comeback;)

They are not the best company to get your account canceled with, so do make sure you send a letter by registered post

I too received a letter about increased costs with Setanta after having signed up for their £5 for 4 months then £9.99/month no contract.

When I range to cancel I was put on hold for quite a while - eventually got thru to right department and was offered £7.50 for 4 months - declined anyway - but this works out as an average of £7.50/month since I joined around Christmas - just shows you that if you refuse to pay increased charges there is always a reduction available - presumably financed by the mugs who just accept increased charges!
Wins since July'08::T £24 money off vouchers Unilever Products, bbq tongs & apron, Day at Spa including Dinner.
