Marks and Spencer- credit vouchers- sharp practice?
As a regular shopper in both M & S stores and online, I was very disappointed at my treatment in their Hedge End store today. Briefly, I had previously accepted a credit voucher for goods that I had returned and had not realised that these were time dated. Previously, M & S used to give gift vouchers for returns without a…

Gym credit agreement....or not????
I have a question. Basically, I terminated my gym membership, but incurred a final months payment for not advising them in writing. Anyway, I will be paying the £52, but received a warning letter from them today advising that failing to pay would affect my credit rating. Would I be correct in saying that since the…

I'm so annoyed with Ikea.
I ordered a range of shelving units from Ikea online a few weeks ago, using their store and organise planner. The planner is meant to show all the accessories you need to complete your plan. After completing my plan and adding accessories such at doors, adjustable legs and door handles, I went to checkout to purchase all…

My Hillarys blinds have only lasted 18 months.
Bought two blinds from Hillarys eighteen months go and they have split at the bottom. Contacted Hillarys and they say I have to pay for them to be repaired! Even wrote to the MD and same reply. I have similar blinds from another supplier in my conservatory which have lasted 15 YEARS and they are still going strong.

Help with new LCD TV
Bought a 32" Sony a month ago and have noticed that there is a gap between the screen and cabinet at bottom left of screen. While it doesn't effect the picture i have not noticed this on any other LCD products I already have (pc monitor etc). Do I have cause for a replacement under warranty?

Tesco Photo - awful service
A week ago, the Tesco deal of the day was a price reduction on photo posters. This was great as I needed one for a present this weekend. I worked through the order form and was given the option of a number of stores on a drop down menu from which to collect. Next to each was an estimate of the delivery times. Some said…

Private Hospital
Hope someone can help me out with this, I had to attend a Private Hospital for a minor test that involved fasting for 6 hours prior to appointment. I was then gowned and had to drink some anti-sickness medicine before the procedure. I was then told the Docotr hadn't turned up and could I come back 4 hours later! I couldn't…

New Look Return for faulty item
Previously heard bad things about New Look returning items although had never had a personal experience. I walked into the shop expecting that this return might not be easy but went with the flow and was really pleased so thought I would share it. I bought a light weight coat/jacket from them maybe a month or so ago. I was…

Directlocks.co.uk
6 weeks ago I ordered a lock from this company on 3 - 5 days delivery. I am still waiting. I have e-mailed 3 times - no reply. I have 'phoned twice (0870 of course), no humans - just a message - leave your details we will call you back - still waiting. The cost of the lock was, of course, charged to my card the day of the…

HSBC - gone banana's!
Not really a vent, just a post to voice my absolute disbelief in the promotional mailing that arrived at my home yesterday. Here we are in an age of 'green' when most people are trying to do their bit to cut down on waste and what do I get from my bank, a decorated, shiny high quality lidded box, lined with tissue and…

Homebase cashier
As I was paying with my visa debit card for garden stuff yesterday (over £90 worth), the (not very polite) girl on the till declared bluntly that the payment "hadn't gone through" even though the machine said that my PIN had been accepted. She would not investigate and just demanded another form of payment. And yes, I did…

Thompson & Morgan Seeds
We have got a new allotment this year and needed to try some seed suppliers to see how well they performed as a company. I ordered a vegetable seed 'pack' from Thompson & Morgan which was a special offer of £10 worth of seeds for £1 ( Plus P&P ). When the seeds arrived ( very quick ) the pack contained a packet of…
