Bought two blinds from Hillarys eighteen months go and they have split at the bottom. Contacted Hillarys and they say I have to pay for them to be repaired! Even wrote to the MD and same reply. I have similar blinds from another supplier in my conservatory which have lasted 15 YEARS and they are still going strong.

Contact your local Trading Standards for advice (in your local phonebook).
It does seem you should be covered by the Sale of Goods Act. Trading Standards will advise you of your rights and tell you how to proceed. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

it depends on how much you paid for them, it they were cheap compared to similar blinds then don't expect much of a warranty, if they were quite expensive then contact trading standards or citizens advice bureau.0

At a cost of £213 for the two blinds, I think they should have lasted more than 18 months.0
