Tesco Photo - awful service

A week ago, the Tesco deal of the day was a price reduction on photo posters. This was great as I needed one for a present this weekend.

I worked through the order form and was given the option of a number of stores on a drop down menu from which to collect. Next to each was an estimate of the delivery times. Some said "from two days", some said "from 14 days". Obviously I needed it sooner rather than later so opted for a store that was "from two days".

I placed the order and the acknowledgement email said " your order will be available for collection on 31st May (14 days later)!!! :mad:

I immediately sent an email asking for an explanation, and was told "all photo orders take 14 days and as work has already started on it you cannot cancel your order"!!! :mad: :mad:

On Wednesday I received an email saying "your order has been dispatched". SO yesterday (Saturday) I went to the store to be told "your order has not arrived yet" :mad: :mad: :mad:

Sent another email to Tesco. Was told that just because I received an email saying it had been dispatched, doesn't mean it is ready for collection. I have to wait for another email telling me it was ready for collection!:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

So I have no poster to give as a present and I can't cancel my order.:confused:

You get what you pay for I suppose.......

    I understand your frustration, trouble is - it said 'from 2 days'. Bit like those 'bargains' that scream - '50% off' and in tiny writing underneath - 'selected items only'. Wonder how long the 'from 14 days' orders take;)

    However, in view of the email claiming ALL orders take from 14 days I would be tempted to query why there is a 'from 2 day' option at all.

    Hi Andy

    My point entirely - what is the point of offering varying lengths of processing time on the website when all orders take the same length of time anyway?
    I raised this with Tesco saying their website ordering system was "flawed" (I could have used a stronger word!!)

    They pointed me to small print saying all orders take 14 days.

    Grrrrr

    Anyway, I've got that off my chest - just wanted to warn others of this problem
