6 weeks ago I ordered a lock from this company on 3 - 5 days delivery. I am still waiting.
I have e-mailed 3 times - no reply. I have 'phoned twice (0870 of course), no humans - just a message - leave your details we will call you back - still waiting.
The cost of the lock was, of course, charged to my card the day of the order.
If anyone needs to buy locks or similar - go elsewhere !

I also ordered locks from directlocks.co.uk and have received the same service - NOTHING!!!! My bill came to £117.43 and was taken from my credit card. I've phoned, emailed and left no end of messages! Whatever you do DON'T use this company!!!0

Have either of you received the locks, refund or a call back?
I'm in the same position (although my order was only about £23).
Supidly, I put this on my debit card rather than credit card.0 -
Directlocks Beware before you buy. This company is a scam.
I placed an order for goods stated as available for immediate delivery, and paid £91 on my debit card 12/05/09. 3 months later I had not received delivery. All e-mails and phone calls ignored. I then E-mail them and requested my money back a couple of times and then contacted my bank with the details. My bank was able to claw back the full amount.
I noted that a similar website called: discountlock.co.uk trading as ultimate lock ltd has the same setup, also asking you to write to them if have a dispute. There is no address on the website.0 -
Direct Locks (trading online as https://www.directlocks.co.uk) are well-known for taking orders, debiting your credit card immediately and not delivering the ordered goods. I've posted twice before on this forum about this wretched company. Whatever you do, do not try and buy goods from this company.0

Is this any use to write a complain too? I doubt it

The only way this rogue company will be called to account is for people to complain directly to the London Borough of Islington Trading Standards Department. Dilock Ltd has got away with daylight robbery for far too long. If you do a Google search you will find many unhappy customers who have had their money stolen and no goods delivered. What surprises me is how the trading standards people appear to have let this company off the hook; the credit card companies must also be fed up with reimbursing aggrieved customers.0

Surprised they are still allowed to trade or have credit facilities0 -
I wondered that, how can they keep going?
I think this calls for the mse treatment.
Do not use directlocks.co.uk0 -
Placed an order with them a couple of weeks ago by phone - I spoke to a real person! No sign of the goods yet but my card's been charged. Their address in their Terms and Conditions is in North London and I went to check it out today. It's a "shop" in the Caledonian Road called Cally's Locks (same as the merchant name on my card bill). It was shuttered up and looked deserted with no evidence of any recent activity. I guess it's just a convenience address. I've sent two emails chasing them and left a message on their answering machine with no response. If nothing arrives with tomorrow's post, I'll cancel the order and dispute the charge with the card company.0

I'm normally pretty careful about who I choose to deal with online, but I needed a front door lock in a hurry and I guess I just didn't do my research.
The things that reassured me were:
- Their website looks professional
- Proper online ordering system
- Sagepay (I assume is a reputable company) do their payments
- Contact phone number
I admit that the banner stating "under new management" struck me as odd, but with hindsight it was probably a warning sign.
Anyway, I'm £40 out of pocket (no reply to emails, calls, etc) and I paid on debit card
I wonder if a complaint to Sagepay will be taken seriously?0
