Going Places and others big difference
I went to several travel agents at the weekend getting quotes for the holiday we want in the summer. Going Places quoted us £1000+ each for a basic holiday to Egypt. When I pointed out to her that I had seen offers on the net for around the £400 each mark they were extremely rude and said this wasn't the type of holiday…

NHS Dentistry No Longer Available For Children
In my area (York), and as far as I can tell all of North and West Yorkshire, we have been suffering the attrition of NHS dentists for several years as more and more dentists stop doing NHS work and go private only. However, in general, they have still accepted children of their patients as NHS patients. Today we got a…

It's junk phone call day today!
I've just had two phone calls in the space of 20 minutes, both from what sound like Indian call centres, both trying to flog things. 1st wanted to know if "I had authority to make telephone service payment decisions" ie: trying to sell some telephone tariff. 2nd want to know if we "wanted the home featured in a new magzine…

Asda
I visited Asda @ Fulwood, Preston, last night and thought it was a disgrace. In future I will stick with Morrisons, Sainsburys and Lidl. The store was not overly busy but there was big gaps where shelfs were not refilled. The yoghurt fridge was just a mass of empty boxes and throughout the store items were not placed in…

can't get our money back
Apologies, firstly, if this is not the correct place to post this. My wife placed an order with an on-line company in November. She paid by cheque. The company phoned her to say that part of the order (some of the items) were unavailable and would not become available in future - would she like to choose alternatives? She…

Vodafone Customer 'Services'
 Just yesterday I bought a Vodafone prepay sim card from a shop for £5 with the intention of using msn messenger on my mobile (Samsung e720). The guy in the shop assured me no problems. Now, I actually work for technical support for o2, but full internet access isn't possible on prepay so I bought the sim to use for…

Yuk!!!!
Just got a pizza from the local takeaway. We were halfway through it when I bit something hard that cut my gum. On closer inspection it turned out to be one of those wooden chip forks that was broken in half - the splintered end is the side I bit into. Something tells me I'm NOT going back there!!! I feel sick now.
