Just got a pizza from the local takeaway.
We were halfway through it when I bit something hard that cut my gum. On closer inspection it turned out to be one of those wooden chip forks that was broken in half - the splintered end is the side I bit into.
Something tells me I'm NOT going back there!!!
I feel sick now.

Thats awful, you want to complain! That shouldnt be allowed - report them to Trading Standards - or is it Environmental Health?
Hope it didnt cause too much pain.

If it's any consolation I was drinking directly from the can of a well known fizzy drink recently (it was diet and with a vanilla flavour) when I almost swallowed a very dead bluebottle. I let the company concerned know. They sent me prepaid packaging to send the can in, but didn't want to see the fly itself. They then sent me vouchers for £4 to be used against their products in compensation. Good job asda accepted them against something else as I've taken a strong dislike to that particular fizzy drink. In retrospect I wish I'd made a lot more fuss.0

Really puts you off something for ever - or almost ever - when you see or hear or taste something like that though doesnt it! I know once I have had a bad taste of something it puts me off for a long long time!Weight Loss - 102lb0

I found I was chewing on some paper labels inside a 'Gregs' Cornish Pasty last year. I got a £5 voucher. Wow ! - I haven't eaten one since and don't think I will again. When you think it put me off them for good five quid is peanuts. As for Ruthyjo above if I found a bluebottle I think I'd 'honk' ! - Ugh,,,, even the thought of it makes me shudder. Asda are real mean when it comes to things like this. About 5 years ago I got a bit of glass in a fried egg in their cafe. It didn't put me off eggs but I boycotted the store for years because it was obvious they thought I was lying. I got a fiver that time too but never spent it.Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !0

I've heard from somebody that once when eating a yoghurt she just happened to look at the discarded lid and saw that a clipped nail was stuck to its inside, with some yoghurt around it.
  :eek:Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
