BT contract - can I switch?
I still have some months to go on my 18-month contract. My Line Rental Saver has just expired - and I don't want to renew it (for 12 months) 'cos I want to leave BT as soon as my contract expires. Question is, because of the price hikes this month, can I quit the contract now and leave without penalty? I read somewhere…

BT's free evening call cost me £2.00
Lookout, I've just been caught by the small print in BT's free evening and weekend call plan. I made a call after 7.00 p.m. thinking it would be free but they charged me over £2.00 because I was on the 'phone for 90 minutes. Apparently these free calls are only for up to one hour and then you are charged. Tou need to ring…

1471 Error
My land line phone is a Binatone Caprice 600 answerphone. Lately, when I dial 1471 to find out who last phoned me, I get a message in a metalic American accent that says: "There is a phonetic error in the application - goodbye" What is that all about? How do I fix it?
