Home move question

Hi
I have my line rental and calls with bt and broadband including tv package with sky.

I would like to keep my current telephone number when I move (this is not a problem as its in the same street) however as there is no active line in my new house (by this I mean it has all sockets etc but is not currently connected/activated) BT want £130 to connect.

If I pay the £130 will they tie me into a 12 month line rental contract.

I would like to move it all to sky and take up the offer/cashback for a new customer which I hope I could do in my husbands name.

Any advice appreciated

  • Sky will set up the new line for you. I used this (albeit 9 months back) and theyre is an install charge of £100 for the line, but as a new customer I got a £90 discount. Therfore it was a £10 charge, which represents a £120 saving in your case.
Other operators will also set up the line, but they would want more than £10 ? Check out Sky site for current offers.
