18866 - Nightmare trying to get a refund for duplicate payment
Hi Has anyone else found it impossible getting money back from 18866? I cancelled the service a couple of months back and paid them the balance o/s even though they hadn't issued a final invoice. They then did issue the invoice and took the payment a second time in error. I've sent them countless emails since asking for…

Talk Talk will charge for 1571
I thought I might save money by switching to T/talk, but looking at the small print they will be charging 50p extra per month for 1571 service as well as increasing the line rental next month ! so I reckon I'll stay with BT for time being. Just a note to others.... if you do switch from BT and your number was always…

ONETEL. Some good points and some very bad
I went with onetel for calls only Although I make hardly any calls at all through Onetel I find I am still elegible for free weekend landline calls. I tend to override BT & Onetel by using 18185 and similar for most other calls. I made sure not to go with Onetel for line rental as well because I learnt that if I did I…

Cheapest line rental?
Hello, I'm currently with BT (Together Option 1) but I hardly ever use my landline for making calls. I'm currently being charged £45 a month (direct debit) - the reason it's so high is because I had to pay a connection charge. I only make a few calls each month so I must be in credit. However I really object to having to…

voipcheap: not so cheap?
Hi, I looked at the voipcheap site but it looks as if you only get a trial call for 60 seconds and then it cuts you off. You have to register for calls over a minute. Well, that's fair enough but it looks as if you have to have a £10 minimum credit. Is that right? Looking back at old posts here, it looks as if, at one…

I'm currently on a BT landline, option 1, but use my monthly allowance of mobile phone minutes each month to make most of my calls, so the BT bill is always very low. Hi, Looking for a bit of help. I live at home with my parents, and contribute towards the phone bill. NTL Freedom
Hi, My mother and my brother both use NTL Freedom as they live outside of a cabled area and have been very happy with it. Basically they pay BT for the line rental, and they pay NTL £15.00 a month for unlimited dial-up but the first £15.00 of phone calls (routed through NTL) are free.
